If you are a beekeeper and interested in honey production, you want a strong hive. The problem is strong hives are prone to swarm. What can you do to keep your bees in your apiary and out of your neighbor's shed? This month we focus on putting the "keeper" in beekeeper. Jennifer Duke and Ray Teurman will cover pre-swarm warning signals and provide some tips for preventing your bees from seeking new digs.

Long Beach Beekeepers meet on the first Sunday of the month and welcome everyone from the experienced to the novice beekeeper to those just curious about beekeeping. The in-person meeting is open to the general public. Members who opt to attend online will be emailed the meeting link and passcode.

And don't miss our Honey of the Month tasting courtesy of Jacob Dickinson and the opportunity drawing. What a sweet deal!

Special thanks to EDCO Recycling & Transfer for hosting our meetings.
